Our Roots
We, the founders of Habesha Café, were born in Ethiopia but raised in Belgium. Our childhood was filled with the warmth of our mother's Ethiopian cooking and the vibrant coffee ceremonies providing a constant connection to our roots. Our mother’s kitchen was a sanctuary of aromatic spices, sizzling injera, and the comforting sounds of coffee beans being roasted. It was here that our love for Ethiopian cuisine started.
Sharing Our Dream
As we grew older, our appreciation for our heritage deepened. We saw how our mother’s cooking brought joy and connection to our family, and we began to dream of sharing this joy with different communities in Belgium.
